Soundwave/Synthesis Generator: Sine, Square, Saw, Triangle Waves

Hello -
Are there by any chance plans to add a sound wave synthesis generator to Corona SDK in the future?

It would be great to have access to an API where you could generate a simple sine, square, sawtooth and/or triangle wave (For those of us like myself who are aspiring musical instrument app designers).
