What are some good sites to buy/get good graphics, sprite sheets, scene backgrounds,etc that are royalty free (is that the correct term to use)?

That’s the correct term.

Openclipart.org has some free stuff.

For some REALLY awesome art check out Biffy Beebe’s new pack - http://biffybeebe.net/graphics/

She has the best icon pack (ever) as well.

For sprites opengameart.org has a few although they’re CC so you need to read the terms and provide credit where applicable. (Make sure they’re allowed in commercial projects, too.)

Check out this Link and check out the video it will explain and give you 3 recommended websites and most of those graphics are free but need to credit the artist (Sounds Fair to me).

Just went and had a look at Biffy Beebe’s art pack, and bought it straight away. I dont need it or anything right now… but its such a bargain i couldnt resist having it just incase :smiley:

You happen to know how much she charges for custom work?

I don’t know how much she charges for custom work but knowing her I imagine it would be a lot less than what she is worth.
