I am so excited to announce that Space Command has been featured by Apple! In the What’s Hot in the Action and Adventure categories. I am still in shock that my little app made it there BUT i also wanted to thank this wonderful community which made that happened. So I am very grateful to you guys. All these months, all these questions (a lot stupid I am sure!) You guys answered everyone of them.

I wish I kew! I do not think you can control being featured other than try to make the best polished app you can. In term of marketing, I am sure I am doing what most people are doing here which is:
have a web site
tweet/FB about your app
offer promo codes on Touch Arcade
make your app free for couple days to increase your DL and ranking (big!)
be helpful to people. They will help you back
Maybe some people could add some more suggestions here!
I also starting using ASO tool to improve my keywords. Too early to tell the results but I am absolutely certain that I choose the worst keywords on version 1.0
My guess is that just hard work to have any chance in the app business.
