Space Shooter Template for Sale! (With Bezier Curves)

Hello again

I’m happy to announce the release of our second Corona template, a Space Shooter game! This template will provide you with all the basics you need to make a great Space Shooter game for iOS and Android. The setup is very similar in places to the Tower Defense Template so if you are familiar with that this should be nice and easy to understand  Features include:

  • Bezier Curves for enemy movement (Simple Bezier Curves…)
  • Normal straight forward enemy movement.
  • Power-ups for your ship (health and fire upgrade)
  • Asteroids floating around to get in your way!
  • Basic level selection screen.
  • Saves and load scores
  • Moving backgrounds to simulate ship movement.
  • Uses DIRECTOR for screen transitions. (Storyboard coming soon)

As always its been commented to hopefully make it easier to understand.
Below is a link to the template and more information (with a video!):

It’s currently on our store for £14.99, which is a whole £5 cheaper than our Tower Defense Template!

We would be very grateful if any of you go and check it out
Thanks for your time!

It wouldn’t be great to play it before buy? You can upload the .apk or the iphone app to test it. [import]uid: 116842 topic_id: 30662 reply_id: 122883[/import]

We could potentially do an APK to download, but for iOS it would involve rebuilding the template app each time we got a new UDID, which really wouldn’t work so well.

There is a video on the link though showing what the template provides you with  [import]uid: 69826 topic_id: 30662 reply_id: 123004[/import]

How about releasing the iOS build to App Store as a free sample app? Or, would you rather not it go out in general circulation?

It’s not really a polished/full enough game for release on the app store. Considering it only has 5 levels as an example it would go down too well with the public :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll make another video for it soon going through it more thoroughly! [import]uid: 69826 topic_id: 30662 reply_id: 123108[/import]

You should put it on TestFlight so people will have a better idea of what game mechanics they will utilize. Looking forward to the storyboard version never worked with director. [import]uid: 75779 topic_id: 30662 reply_id: 123129[/import]
