Spawning enemies in waves

Hello again and sorry for troubles.

I want to make a spawning system that will spawn different enemies on screen wave after wave (like in Tower Defense games or Castle Defense i think) and every wave the properties of this enemies(health, images, positions and such) will change.

Is there anyone who know how to do something like this properly? I really need some help here

Anything is appreciated, i hope i dont ask too much

if someone would want to help my cause, you can post here or please contact me on skype: superfranky22 [import]uid: 16142 topic_id: 18500 reply_id: 318500[/import]

Hopefully someone from the community has time to help you out - although a sample for this would be a bit of work.

If you don’t get anyone with time, consider; http://www.anscamobile.com/corona/support/ for some sample code.

This kind of stuff is very interesting but can be a little slow to get the hang of at first

I agree with Peach this type of sample code would require a bit of work but its possible in different ways for example have a timer and every xx seconds xx characters will appear and make transition.to a certain x/y or follow a path. Im sure there are sample codes for following a path I seen a few. As for different health, images, positions ect can be accomplish using flags and tables but like anything else there is always different ways of accomplishing this.

Wow I had no idea Anscamobile does support I would say it can be extremely helpful at some time but (IMO) the prices are ridiculous It reminds me of apple phone support XX calls per year and you pay a large amount for more calls or something like that I remember hearing when I started programming. But I guess to each their own, dont mean to sound rude I know business is business.

Best of Luck

Hey Chris,

Although the price might sound expensive at first you must consider that you are getting 5 dedicated hours of time from a member of the Ansca team.

If you compare the cost to hiring other professionals who are as accomplished (hard to find) you’ll notice many charge a lot more and in larger blocks as well.

You should also consider what a pro developer can achieve using Corona in 5 hours - it’s mind blowing.

We do provide a LOT of support for free as well, as does the wonderful Corona community - but if someone needs a chunk of code in a hurry and wants to get Ansca to write it for them, or debug, etc. then naturally that isn’t a service that can be provided for free or on the cheap.
