Splash Screen Control

Hey, guys

I payed for the splash screen control last couple of years but it seemed to expire now.

I’d like to get rid of Corona splash now - can I pay on Vlad’s github and use the plugin instead of buying the plugin in the marketplace - where It’s not gonna be valid more then a couple of months now that Corona labs is no more.

If you need to build before May 1, you will need to buy the plugin.

If you’re planning on supporting Corona development through Vlad’s github account, then you should not consider buying the plugin for 2 months, but instead consider it supporting Vlad now. Marketplace sales are the biggest source of income that’s currently funding us.

Sorry, didn’t see this topic when I posted in another topic.  We purchased the splash screen control plugin in Dec 2019 for $99 and it should be good for a year. But when doing builds today (Feb 20, 2020) I see the Corona splash screen. Do I already need to do something differently to NOT see the Corona splash screen?  Had successfully done a few test builds in January and as recently as Feb 7, 2020 where the splash screen was successfully hidden (not shown).

Please email support@coronalabs.com to discuss this. We don’t want your account information in a searchable location.

Hi, I haven’t gotten around to buy the plugin yet (just released my first app). I was planning to buy it as soon as things settled a bit. But apparently I have to buy it now - since my app gets rejected by Apple because of the corona splash screen “your app includes content that some users may find upsetting, offensive, or otherwise objectionable”

So to understand It right - I need to buy the splash screen controle plugin now, since I can’t wait 2 month - and will it then also work after the 1 of May?

The splash screen control plugin is a build time feature. If you publish an app with a disabled splash screen it will remain disabled as long as the user has the app. Because we have to have iOS builds offline before May 1, you will have to get a new build of Corona to keep going. That version will not have the splash screen enabled, so it won’t be an issue.
