Split horizontal / vertical

I tried to enter a bug report through the IDE, but doesn’t seem to be working.

This is not a biggie, but the split horizontal and split vertical commands are reversed in version 2.0 of Glider.

Glad to see that was added to the menu!  I use it all the time.

thanks,

–John

Hell John,

Glad you like it! The split vertical and horizontal buttons are somewhat open to interpretation but at least it gets the job done.

There really is no room for interpretation as to what vertical and horizontal means. This appears to be a simple oversight with a simple fix. It would have been so much nicer if you simply said “Oops. sorry about that. we’ll fix it in the next update.” Thanks.

@Ksan,

Our framework does all the windowing for us and the action was added by NetBeans 7.4 update. Split vertically will arrange the windows vertically whereas split horizontally will put them side to side. We could request to get it switched but it will probably get rejected.

Thanks for the explanation. I did not realize this function came from the Netbeans and is out of your control. In that case we will live with it I suppose. It still does not make sense though. Oh well…

@ksan,

No problem. Thanks for understanding
