Sprite Illuminator

Code and Web, the makers of Texture Packer and Physics Editor, just released Sprite Illuminator today which is a 2d dynamic lighting system using normal maps. https://www.codeandweb.com/spriteilluminator

I was a beta tester and made some amazing images in it, but due to the lack of documentation I could not really figure out how to implement them in. I just was wondering if anyone else was using it and could give some insight on the implementation of it. I am new to lighting and I have not found much on Coronas support of lighting effects except for the shadow system made by Rene Aye (http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/53127-2d-dynamic-shadows/), which in its own right is amazing.

Thanks for reading!

Looks like Greg did a tutorial: http://gpanimationsblog.com/2015/02/26/tutorial-spriteilluminator/

Hi

I bought SpriteIlluminator and worked through the tutorials.

In the SI Gui we have a rotating light which gives a wonderful effect when using an embossed .png texture.

How to get this rotating light bumpmapping effect in the CORONA SDK project?

Cheers,

Matt
