Hi,
at this address http://walen.se/sprites/?level=collection&id=1 , you can find some beatiful sprites and tile set from Amiga game.
Obviously these are under copyright, but I think there is not problem if you use these to test the lua routine, when Corona will be able to use a tile set (but it’s also possible to write a ad-hoc routine), or simply to test an animation o collision routine.

Is there any possibility anyway to read tilemaps into Corona ?
Cheers,

hi (again),
I don’t think that now corona can read a gif/jpeg and extract all the tile.
Maybe can be a request to ansca team

Hi,
I am trying to use gif in my application. Though it displays the image, it doesn’t play the animation. I wanted to know the possible ways to use .gif files in Corona.
Thanks [import]uid: 95127 topic_id: 226 reply_id: 82445[/import]
Hey there,
No, Corona doesn’t support gifs - we use sprite sheets for animation.
