Star Explorer. Sound?

Hi

I am playing around with Corona/Lua again and revisiting the Star Explorer project.  I have done a couple tweaks to it and noticed the sound does not work.  I downloaded what I thought was the complete starexplorer.apk and noticed that doesn’t have sound either.  Could it be my phone?  I have an LG Nexus 5X

Thanks

Where did you download it from?

The working source for it should be: https://github.com/coronalabs/GettingStarted08/archive/master.zip

Try running that in the simulator. Try building that for your device as well.

Hi Rob!

I downloaded it from the tutorial.  I beleive (not entirely sure) it was from the Star Explorer tute, Chapter 7?  I will try the github version.

Thanks!

Works in the Simulator!  Will try the Phone tomorrow.

Hi @beyond2k,

Did any of your custom changes entail different audio files or formats of those files?

Brent

Hi Brent

I kept the file names and swapped sounds (WAVs)

OK, let us know when you can test. WAVs should work across all platforms, so if something is still going wrong, it could be your phone (hopefully not) or it could be something corrupted with the files themselves.

Hi Guys

Works like a champ on my phone.  Hopefully this weekend, I will get a chance to compare code.

Thanks for helping me.
