Sticky physics

Has anyone else encountered issues with physics slowing down when building and trying it on a device today?

I’m almost ready to release my game so I’ve been testing it on actual devices the last few days and it has been working fine, but today the physics are going crazy and my main character appears to have sticky feet and everything slows down.

In the simulator everything works fine, no slow down at all, only on a device.

I had been using the last public release version, but upgraded to the latest daily build to see if it resolves it, but still get the same results.

When did this start happening? When you started using a different Corona build? And before that it was working fine? Can you provide me some details on this and anything else you might have changed between when it was working and when it started slowing down?

It only started to happen today using the same Corona build.

I’ve been making some minor finishing touches to my game, more on the title page etc so not really the game itself, but noticed the timing/frame rate is very erratic, so for example some transitions really judder and in-game objects connected to physics go in slow motion mode and then speed up again.

I installed the latest daily Corona build today to see if this would help, but the results are the same, it works perfectly in the simulator not on the device (tried on two different Android devices).

I haven’t made any fundamental changes that would impact performance across the whole game but tomorrow I will revert to a backup to see if it makes any difference.
