When I try to use the letterbox content scaling, the storyboard transition doesn’t work on the iPad. I have a background that is 570x380 (the “magic recipe” as stated in the content scaling tutorial on the blog from a while age) so that you don’t see the black bars on the iPad. However, when I transition using crossfade, the black bars are shown during the transition, only to be removed when the transition is complete.
If you want a code example, please tell me and I’ll send you an email.
I assume this is a bug in the storyboard code, correct?
Please help!

Hey Peter,
We’re aware there are some issues with Storyboard, could you use this form, please?
http://developer.anscamobile.com/content/bug-submission
Thank you,
Peach [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 75224[/import]
I just tried to submit it, but there was an error at the top of the page that said there was an error in sending the email, and to contact the administrator if the problem persisted. However, the form I submitted is under my previous submissions as error #3602.
Do I need to submit again, or did it go through? [import]uid: 38000 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 75235[/import]
Nyah! I haven’t seen that error - I’ll pass this on and see if we can get it fixed.
It appears #3602 is an unrelated bug submitted by another user. Was that your bug# or case#? (We want the bug number.)
Peach [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 75254[/import]
I don’t know if it is the case # or the bug #. The number I gave you is the one shown in the table of my previous submissions as the “submission number”
I just tried to submit again, and again at the top of the page there was a waning in red that said:
“Unable to send e-mail. Please contact the site administrator if the problem persists.”
But under that, in green, it said:
“Thanks for submitting a bug.”
In the end, I don’t know if the submission went through, but this one also went into the list of my previous submissions as submission #3608. [import]uid: 38000 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 75307[/import]
Apparently our bug submission has its own bug.
I’ve passed this on so hopefully we can get it resolved shortly.
Sorry for the hassle!

Any word on this bug fix yet? [import]uid: 38000 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 77676[/import]
Not yet I’m afraid, hopefully very soon. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 77701[/import]
I am getting the same type of error with zoomEven 1152x768 on iPad, with a transition from right to left. A black bar will briefly appear. Anyone know quick if “director.lua” already has this issue fixed? Thanks. [import]uid: 99244 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 77705[/import]
Tsuriyathep, I believe Director does not have this issue, no. (Although I cannot say with total certainty as it’s a 3rd party class.)
It may be your best bet for now.
Peach [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 77715[/import]
Hi Peach, just confirming that the newest Director 1.4 does not have this issue. So I will stick with director for now. Thanks very much. [import]uid: 99244 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 77731[/import]
No worries, glad to hear you are able to move forward.

I am planning on releasing my app next weekend. Is there any idea of when this will be fixed? I could just launch it as an iPhone app, the upgrade it to universal iPhone/iPad when it is fixed if it will be awhile. However, it would be best if it was soon! I am afraid I don’t have any new info on this yet but I will try to chase it up for you in our next meeting. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 19472 reply_id: 83713[/import]
Thank you so much! I’ll just release as iPhone only for now.
