storyboard.hideOverlay effectTime is ignored.
No matter what you set for the effectTime, it always uses the default of 500ms.

At the moment hideOverlay doen’t support effects. You can read this in hideOverlay method description [import]uid: 138389 topic_id: 30529 reply_id: 122318[/import]
@vovasoft: Please read the documentation where it says “All scene effects from storyboard.gotoScene() are supported.”
