Getting Started Newbie Questions

Hello, wondering if anyone is having the same problems as me…

I created a storyboard kids game with about 40 different scenes and it was iterating bug free with transitions and simple puzzle games embedded into it. 

The problem occurred when I installed the latest version of corona SDK today.  All my widgets disappeared because I had ‘default’ instead of ‘defaultFile’.  Sorted that out, however, now when I change scenes it crashes and closes Corona after a few scene iterations.  Plus simple transitions that did work before, now don’t work at all.  Please help…

Hi @colkir72.

Since you’re listed as a starter, I’m going to assume you upgraded from the last public build 971 to the latest, 1076.  During that time there were many storyboard bug fixes and additions.  So it’s very possible that the storyboard calls today behave a bit differently that they did in 971.  Also in between we released Widget’s 2.0  This was a huge change in behavior and we are still improving them.   Go into the widgets documentation and read the Widgets 2.0 migration guide to make sure you got everything.

Widgets have also been open sourced so we can refine them and fix bugs while starter accounts like yourself, who do not have access to daily builds can get the latest bug fixes.  You an go to:

And download the latest widgets2.0 version.  Now for helping you, are you seeing any errors in your console log?  Specifically what isn’t working?
