Submitting an app to store with a different signing identity

Hi all!
We recently made a iOs app for a client.

We tested app successfully using always our developer provisioning certificate, and till now all was ok.

Now we want to send the app to client, compiled and signed with our store distribution certificate (wildcarded seed.*) and the client should resign the app with its own distribution certificate before submitting to iTunes store.

I know that it is possible using xcode, signing with our wildcard distribution and specifying the final bundle id in info.plist. I see that Corona ignores or at least does not treat correctly the CFBundleIdentifier, and staff incourages to leave it up to the provisioning profile embedded bundle id.

I read in other similar posts people saying things like “ask client for private key”. This is not a possibility for us. It is a big client and it is not unexperienced, they hava tens of apps on the store, published like we are trying to do.

Anyone has idea how to solve this problem? Is there anyone who well knows the compiler that can help us?

Same problem here, seems there is no answer!
Always hoping guys from ansca have time to clearify this point. [import]uid: 107375 topic_id: 23636 reply_id: 95293[/import]

Hey there,

I’m afraid that no, this is not an option.

If the client has something against providing you with their key then you should advise them to pick up a Corona license and build in house.

Peach, thanks for your reply.

Does that option imply that I have to send source code to client?

Yes it would. [import]uid: 84637 topic_id: 23636 reply_id: 95480[/import]
