submitting separate apps for iphone /ipad

Given that Corona can display the same image, but use different sizes for the iphone & ipad, I was curious how apps are submitted to apple.

If a user downloads an app on the iphone, do they also get the images used for the ipad ? [import]uid: 31039 topic_id: 16037 reply_id: 316037[/import]

yes, they get ipad/iphone and retina in the same package… that’s a good option because most people can play the game in their iphone/ipod touch or their ipad with the same purchase…

Or at least i don’t want to charge someone for ipad version and iphone version…

my 2 cents [import]uid: 75034 topic_id: 16037 reply_id: 59609[/import]

A lot of people go the universal app route (meaning they build for both iphone/ipad).
For my game, I’m going ipad only (for now) just as screen size for what I want to do and the experience I want the player to have will only be perfect on the ipad. I’d really have to change the gameplay elements while still capturing the experience to translate onto the small iphone screen.
So in order to keep people happy and not piss people off that have to buy 2 copies of the same app, universal if you can I guess to get to broadest audience.

I haven’t released an game yet to the app store, so i’m just kind of talking out my butt
