Subscription

I have a question for members that write programs for both iPhone and Android. I just finished my first app and I’m looking to purchase Corona and I was wondering if I should just get the iPhone or the iPhone/Android subscription. The reason I’m asking I don’t have an Android phone just an iPhone 3gs/4 to test my apps on. I understand it is important to test on a device but I have never owned an Android phone. How different is the simulator for Android to the actual device? I was thinking of getting a small plan with an Android phone but I’m not sure if it is worth it. Any feedback/opinions would help, thanks in advance. [import]uid: 11809 topic_id: 6248 reply_id: 306248[/import]

If you are planning to develop for Android then you definitely need an Android device. Beyond that, it’s not like anyone else (especially people who don’t even know you) can tell you whether or not you should develop Android apps.

For what it’s worth, I don’t regret having the pro subscription even though I only have immediate plans to develop for iPhone. The cost isn’t really that much more and I do have easy access to Android devices if I wanted to explore that. [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 6248 reply_id: 21566[/import]

On the purchase page there is an option to “upgrade” from the indie subscription to the Pro. No pricing details but that is an option if you don’t want to put all your eggs in one basket right away. [import]uid: 31262 topic_id: 6248 reply_id: 21812[/import]
