Support for community work

Hello!

Ed Maurina from Roaming Gamer has been an invaluable asset to the Corona community by answering questions, releasing code snippets, and generally helping out when needed. I can’t say everything he has done for the community, but here’s a couple of things that have specifically helped me out:

 - Released free Math2d plugin https://store.coronalabs.com/plugin/math2d

 - Released free Collision Calculator plugin https://store.coronalabs.com/plugin/collision-calculator

 - Continuously releases code snippets that answer coding problems on the forums

 - Developed SSK at https://github.com/roaminggamer/SSKCorona

 - Published several more pieces (that are for sale) at https://sellfy.com/roaminggamer (but super cheap)

 - A regular on Corona Geek

He’s turned to us, the community, for support to release more code snippets and help out the community in general. He’s done this through a Patreon at patreon.com/roaminggamer. I personally want him to stick around the Corona community because he’s done so much and I’ve written this post to try and get a few more people to commit $1 or $2 to his Patreon.

Will you commit a donation to his Patreon? Your commitment doesn’t have to be much; it can be anything from $1 to $20. As a community, we  need to support him. I’ve already committed to $15/month and hope to commit more.

Ed did not ask me to write this post. I’ve published free tutorials at thatssopanda.com and at youtube.com/thatssopanda (shameless plug). I understand the time it takes to write an answer to something, to write a tutorial, or to publish something that helps someone else. I’m not asking for a Patreon for myself, I’m asking you to support a pillar of the Corona community.

I agree Ed has done a terrific job supporting the Corona community, we need to support people like Ed, Develephant and other developers that have made excellent contributions

Just a note to say +1 for Ed being awesome!

Today, I program games and game related stuff.  I enjoy doing this, because while some consider this to be simple or even a waste of time, they are wrong. --RoamingGamer

Love what you said there Ed!
