Hi there,
I’m wondering if anyone has any idea on the following - any help very much appreciated.
My app allows the user to record audio files which are stored in the documents directory. Data associated with these files and other user data is also stored by the app, in a SQLite database.
My question is, is there any way I can allow users to sync both the data AND the audio files between devices. My app is universal, so people are installing it on both their iPad and iPhone but at the moment they have separate progress on each device.
I was wondering about iCloud… but then which device is the “lead” device (i.e.: which one syncs from which?)
I know I could do a web based facility which allowed users to upload all their data but this would be a lot of work and would involve significant amounts of hosting space for all the audio files. Not even sure how easy it would be to import / export audio this way but as a last resort if this could work I’d consider it.
Preferably though, if there was a way of doing it using iCloud or another “native” method that didn’t involve a 3rd party server that would be ideal.
Hmmmm - anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
