Hey, straight up Lua noob here. I’m trying to use Komodo and while it does have syntax highlighting for Lua, it obviously does not have specific highlighting for Corona. Is there a syntax definition file specific to Corona that I can use to allow proper highlighting in a dev env. other than Xcode? [import]uid: 10108 topic_id: 3306 reply_id: 303306[/import]

thanks for the quick reply! I’ll check out textmate. [import]uid: 10108 topic_id: 3306 reply_id: 10014[/import]
I didn’t realize textmate was mac only, and a paid app ( I don’t mind paying for apps that I use, but all these support applications is really starting to add up).
Komodo Edit is free, and pretty sweet. I just found it is possible (though complicated) to implement a new language for Komodo

I’m not a programmer at all, so this is currently WAY out of my league. If there are any real programmers reading this and willing to take on a project to help a brother out, I would be incredibly grateful. Perhaps we can even barter… I can make some nice art for one of your projects [import]uid: 10108 topic_id: 3306 reply_id: 10044[/import]
Try TextWrangler, its Free. If you are looking for an editor that will just do syntax highlighting and want it multiplatform, then the real developers tool is VIM.

Just to note that the bundle for TextMate currently covers a small part of the API. Don’t buy TextMate just for this feature because it’s still not complete.
However, I would buy TextMate just for its project management and snippets editor features.
