Template for making Icon-sets in Illustrator for both IOS and Android

I made an Illustrator template where the user can replace an “Icon1024.png” file in a folder, and follow a few steps in Illustrator and then get a folder with named icon files for both IOS and android.

I didn´t find one that worked so I made one myself and it works perfect for me

Its all free for people to use and I can´t se no reason why it shouldn´t be made in PS too

UPDATE: Updated the template for IOS8 (3 new images) and Icon1024 and Icon514 for ItunesConnect and GooglePlay

Let me know if there is any other icon sizes we need so it is always updated

Sweet thanks hendrix, I was just popping out a 1024x1024 image and then using a batch file with image magic but this will be easier :slight_smile:

here’s a script for doing it in PS (similar in approach: feed it 1024, generate the rest)

my own experience so far has been that rasterizing the full-rez AI in PS then resizing w PS produces better (subjectively, of course!) results than AI’s save-for-web.

there are also several online resizers, tho all that i’ve tried so far have been a bit too “soft” for my tastes (again subjectively)

I will try your PS temp for shure (The nice thing about PS is that it can have an unsharp mask in between the resize-actions) so you dont scale down more than 50% in the batch of without some sharpening specially when dealing with the smallest ones right?

But the nice thing about Illustrator is that the images ar placeholders linked to the Iconfile in the root, this makes it easy for me to update the template when new icons and updates comes around

But now, thanx to you,  we have both Photoshop and Illustrator templates
