Test Device Question

Does a test device need to be connected to a wireless/phone provider to be able to use it for testing? 

I need a test device and can’t upgrade my phone currently, so I’m looking to buy a used Iphone

Nope, any device running a supported OS version will do.

Thanks… I’m all new to this IOS stuff… got to to the point of provisioning files and wham…needed a device. Guess I’m gonna go with an Ipod Touch, cheaper at least
