Test ios Application

Hi all,

I have build an iOS app and wanted some users to test it on their iPhone/ipad devices.

I gave them the .app file but they were not able to install it with itunes.

Is there something specific that should be done?

You have to get the UDID for each device you want to allow to test.  You can have up to 100 of these and you can only remove them once per year around the time you re-up your Apple developer account.

Once you add the device in the Apple Developer Provisioning Portal, then you have to go into the provisioning profile for that app and add the device to the profile.  Download the new profile and then you can add it to the device.

One of the best things to do is to use testflightapp.com to help you manage this.

Thank you Rob.

I created an account on test flight. However, an ipa extension file is expected.

How can I convert the .app file into an .ipa file?
