Testflightapp.com for distributing betas

Has anyone used Test Flight (testflightapp.com) to distribute Corona apps to testers? The site / service looks awesome. But I haven’t been able to successfully carry out their specific instructions for working with Corona apps, which seemed very straightforward, but I’m stumped.

1 - has anyone had success with this?

2 - recommend you take a look, it looks very useful and slick

p.s. to the Ansca folks, you might want to list this as a 3rd party tool

Yeah i use it. Its quite simple really…

Normally when you build for device, you add your phone id (from itunes) to your provisioning, and then download that provisioning file to ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles

Then you open corona and build with that id. You can then put that app on the phones you added to that profile.

With testflight app you invite a friend via email. It will send them an email to sign up. They then click a button which registers their device.

This friend then appears in your team. You can see their id, so you add it to your provisioning, and build. Put the built app in a folder called Payload and zip it. Upload that file.

Testflight will then show you the people in your list that match with the id’s int hat build, u tick which of those u want to send to.

It then sends them an email which they click and the app is installed!

From the testers point of view its quite easy, simple sign up then open the mail to install. Once signed up u can send them builds via email as u like.

From the developer point of view its a little fiddly having to add id’s all the time, but thats an apple thing - no way around it.

If you want to try my app drop me your email address and i’ll invite you so you can see how it works from the testers point of view. Or jump on irc.freenode.com #corona and I can explain a bit more! [import]uid: 8872 topic_id: 7194 reply_id: 25427[/import]
