testing on Android - am I doing this right ?

Can someone confirm if I’m doing it the correct way ?

  1. I’ve downloaded and installed Astro File Manager on Android 2.2

  2. I connect the Android to my PC, and put it into disk drive mode (this creates and E: drive on my PC)

  3. I copy and paste the built file, test.apk, onto E: drive

  4. I unplug the phone from the PC

  5. I run Astro on the phone and click on my apps icon. A window pops ups and asks me to iopen app manager which I do

  6. I choose install, from app manager

  7. I then open my installed app, which appears to run fine.

The reason I’m querying this method is that when I’m trying to capture any audio, it’s not working properly (the file size is way too small for a .raw or .pcm) but that;s another story

Am I doing things right ? I have a 4GB micro-SD card in the HTC Desire, running Android v2.2
