Textbook for absolute beginners in development

First, I want to thank everyone for your support of my first ebook on Corona app/game development Mobile App Development with Corona.

One of the comments that I heard most frequently was the desire for a book that was designed for the person with no programming experience. Message received!
I am now in the process of writing a new eTextbook that is designed for the person with zero (0) programming background. I am writing the book for use in the classroom (specifically for late high school/early college) but also with the general public in mind. The working title is Learning Mobile Application Development and while the majority is dedicated developing with Corona, there will be a chapters on Android, iOS, and Web based development as well.

That’s awesome! I purchased your textbook Beginning Mobile App Development with Corona just a couple days ago. I only had very basic java knowledge prior to reading and it has really helped point me in the right direction. I will surely pick this up when you release it. Nice, I really enjoyed Mobile App Development with Corona, but as I’m completely new to programming I was confused about why I was writing a specific code without googling for a couple of hours. The homework part was a great way to internalise the chapter though, but again, as a beginner I got stuck on a few of them. I’d be very happy to get my hands on an absolute beginner’s book. Then you who I am writing this book for! I have had more than a few approach me with this situation. I am writing as fast as I can, but I’m not sure of a release date because of other obligations. I can say that I plan to use this book for a class that I am teaching in January, but I hope to have the book done much sooner than that!
