Textbooks Teaching Mobile App/game Development For K-12, College, & University

If you are looking for a textbook to use in teaching Corona, I now have two available:

“Learning Mobile App & Game Development with Corona SDK” ISBN: 978-1-937336-07-3
introduces programming concepts in an incremental, pedagogically friendly method. Designed for the beginning programming student.  Meets or exceeds most state education requirements for high school mobile app development courses.

“Beginning Mobile App Development with Corona” ISBN: 978-1-937336-02-8

is designed for the student who is already familiar with programming concepts but is new to Corona or  development for mobile devices.  This text was originally written to be used in a third-year college programming course, but has been successfully used at lower levels.

Both texts are available through http://www.BurtonsMediaGroup.com/books

Review copies and volume discounts are available.

Please let me know if you have any questions about curriculum or teaching resources.

“Beginning Mobile App Development with Corona” is available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Are these the new releases we’ve been hearing about on Corona Geek?

Yes.  “Learning Mobile Application & Game Development with Corona” is the new book I have mentioned on Corona Geek.   The early release will be available very soon.

“Beginning Mobile App Development with Corona” has been out for a little over a year.  I revise and update it regularly (when I’m not in the middle of a semester writing another textbook).

Quick update: The early release of “Learning Mobile Application & Game Development with Corona” eTextbook is now available as an early release through my website.  It is currently only available as a PDF, but early release purchasers will have their choice of formats with the eTextbook is finallized later this spring.

We are working on the next update for both “Beginning Mobile App Development with Corona SDK” and “Learning Mobile Application & Game Development with Corona SDK”

We are seeing an increase in schools and colleges offering classes based upon Corona.  If you’re considering offering a class, let us know and we will be happy to help with curriculum and textbook support.
