textboxes non responsive after showing iad

Hi,

I have some native textboxes on my app which allow the user to search and login. if I call the ads.show after creating the textboxes, the textbox won’t detect the touch to allow you to enter text. I can get around this by creating them after the ads.show call, but if I wanted to request an ad after a period of time this will disable the text boxes. Is this a known issue? This is on iOS.

Hi there,

We’re looking into it. It actually looks like a bug.

I’ll come back with an update as soon as we’re done assessing.

Im having a similar issue with touch events on a row of buttons just above my banner ad position… (well, where it would be if on device)

Its only an issue on the Xcode iPhone 5 simulator… which is what I am using to test for that device at the moment. I can’t confirm if this works ok on the device.

My app is setup and working in tall screen mode and everything else works fine. If I remove the show.ads() it all works fine.

Is this a bug?

Cheers

Scratch that guys… think I’ve found the issue… I’ll report back once Ive tested thoroughly… but look like banner positioning on tall screen… incorrectly positioned… not visible on simulator… and overlaying other screen objects (buttons etc)

Cheers

Wow, I have spent all night trying to troubleshoot this!!! I WISH I knew it was a bug hours ago! Corona Labs Staff, we need to know about these show stopping bugs! How can Corona help speed development when we spend hours troubleshooting code just to find out that its a bug? There has got to be a better way to let us know when these larger bugs are confirmed. I can’t see paying more for a license and not getting correct support or notifications on the current state of things. Alex, what was the update? Have you guys been looking into it since March 7 and still have no answers? I have wasted my entire night  trying to figure out why all of my native.textfields stopped working so I need an update on this ASAP Corona…
