We snuck in under the Xmas deadline wire and got our new app live on the Barnes & Noble Nook store: The Bad Girl’s Journal. We’ll be launching on iOS and Kindle Fire at the end of January.
The Bad Girl’s Journal is a journal app for women based on the bestselling author Cameron Tuttle’s Bad Girls Guides books. We worked closely with the author to create an app in the fun style of her original series that could be a used as a serious daily journal.
So far we’ve been lucky as it’s stayed at the #2 spot of Featured Apps (on the on-device store) since we launched a couple days ago, and has been hovering around the 100-300 range in terms of overall sales rank, blowing by the other popular journal apps on Nook. Trying not to blink so it stays up there and crossing our fingers for a lot of new Nooks under Christmas trees this year.

The default cover. You can choose from 3 different styles for your journal.
A page from the journal. You can create as many pages as you want per day, and have a bunch of font, layout, and text colors to choose from. You can specify a Topic and Mood for each entry. You can also add photos from your library, and we include several sets of stickers to illustrate your journal entries. Send your entry as an email, including images attachments. There’s a functional search feature, too. Finally, you don’t delete an entry, you burn it!
One of the mini-games included is “Ask a Bad Girl”. You can ask any of the 4 Bad Girls any question at all, and they’ll each have a different answer. It’s like a Magic 8-ball on steroids!
The Daily Challenge is another fun activity: Spin the wheel to get some inspiration. [import]uid: 9422 topic_id: 34264 reply_id: 334264[/import]
