The native.newVideo saga

In early July (post since deleted by someone) I asked whether native.newVideo() now works on Android because the documentation didn’t say it wasn’t working.

After some to-ing and fro-ing, Peach kindly agreed to have the documentation updated to make it clear that native.newVideo() is NOT yet supported on Android.

Imagine my surprise, then, when I saw the following at http://docs.coronalabs.com/api/library/native/newVideo.html
“Video views currently only work in the OS X Simulator, Xcode Simulator, and on device (iOS and Android).”
…apparently from the last public build.

Android definitely does NOT support [lua]native.newVideo()[/lua] yet. That is something we plan on adding very soon. The documentation is wrong. I will correct it personally. I apologize for the confusion. [import]uid: 32256 topic_id: 29095 reply_id: 117059[/import]

as you can probably tell, I am VERY keen to see this feature added - I have an iOS Corona app just ripe for conversion!
