The Pedestal - an indie game for iOS and Android

Hi everyone, my name is Daniel Ivanov and I wanted to share with you my indie game project

that I’ve been working on recently.

The game is called “The Pedestal” and will soon be available for iOS and Android.

You can check a short video trailer here:

Below is the store description that I have prepared for The Pedestal.

**Guide the young ninja Akira through relentless waves of shurikens and sharpened scythes. Help him outsmart the challenge and fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a Sensei. The rules are simple - 1 pedestal, 3 minutes, 1 winner. Sounds easy? Think again!

The Pedestal was inspired by Eastern culture and influenced by the stories of the famous mystery writer Edgar Allan Poe.

BEAUTIFUL ART
A unique experience that takes place in a minimalistic colorful world where every particle has its own place.

EASY CONTROLS
Tap anywhere to make Akira jump. Tap a second time for a double jump. The Pedestal was designed to start easy for everyone to pick up and gradually become more challenging but not frustrating.

SOUND EFFECTS
The stunning sounds combined with the art and gameplay create a mysterious and enjoyable atmosphere.**

I’d also love to hear your feedback!

Daniel,

That looks well done. Congrats.

Bob

Love the art! Amazing! Only fix i would recommend is when the the knives that swing: they swing but not very realistically( when it hits a certain point it just instantly goes starts moving the other way). You should add easing to them. Are you using “transition.to”?

Thank you, Bob !

Thanks for the feedback! I am not using transition.to , I actually use obj:rotate() every frame. But I like your idea and I’ll most certainly try to tweak the scythes so they look more realistic.
