Hi, all!
I updated an existing app in Google Play yesterday, following the usual build procedure. The app is 100+MB so it has an expansion file.
First I built it with Corona 2014.2189. After downloading the app from Google Play, it showed an expansion file download screen that had a simple dialog titled “Download Error” and a message “Licensed” beneath it. The downloading stayed at 0% and didn’t move.
So I built the app with Corona 2014.2381 and re-published it. Now the expansion file is downloaded properly, but on first run of the app I get a message “The premium graphics feature(object.fill) is restricted to Pro(or higher) subscribers.” with buttons “Upgrade” and “Quit” below. Quitting the app and re-entering again shows it properly and the error is never shown again, but it is very frustrating for first-time users. I have a Basic license and don’t use object.fill anywhere in the code. Also I am not the only one getting this issue:
I tried building the app without an expansion file and manually installed it on a device and it ran smoothly, without any error messages, so it seems that the expansion file support is broken. Of course Google Play won’t allow me to upload it like this, so I’m stuck.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Orlin
