The status of Corona Cloud - feels like an afterthought

As a pro customer trying to evaluate whether to invest time getting started with Corona Cloud, I am just wondering what level of support to expect for the time being.  I realize you guys have a lot of other things going on and that’s fine - but my perception (and I can’t be the only one) is that Cloud is currently a bit of an afterthought - see the following

http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/35142-eventcustom-from-push-notification-is-empty/ - not updated since 23rd of may despite numerous questions by the OP

Still no sample app, or even recent response about the status of a sample app, in these threads despite inquiries from multiple customers pretty recently

http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/34468-is-there-a-sample-app-for-corona-cloud/

I do see responses to some questions in this forum so I realize it’s not being completely ignored - not trying to troll, just trying to figure out where to invest my time, any light you can shed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

-Joe

I’m with you. I sure hope there is a silver lining to this cloud. I’m waiting on the sidelines as well until fixes, samples and hopefully a tutorial appears. The relative silence on the topic as you point out is interesting though.

I actually first asked the question on 12th of may after getting the answer to a question regarding the custom event:

http://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/34864-push-notifications/

but after that no reply, so I started that new thread where there has been a reply, but no answer. So guess the team is still alerted but nothing is happened, hehe

And yeah, cloud does feel abit half done and like it was released before it was finished. Would be nice to know if its being worked on still or if its on pause. Personally I would rather see that existing things work before they give us new things that might not work. Hitting a wall of errors and bugs is not fun when you can’t do anything about it but wait.

But as it looks now I would not start anything that has to do with multiplayer on the cloud at least. Seems leaderboards and achievements are working though havent tried it myself.

yep - graphics 2.0 looks awesome, obviously corona continues to improve, but just good to know whether cloud is sort of on hold

Hmmm, I think some forum messages are disappearing in the cloud now… new feature?

probably evaporated

but hopefully things will get back on track soon… hate to have spent so much time trying to get these things to work only to be shut down at the finish line. Glad I chose to test i out with a simple game :stuck_out_tongue:
