There should be an option to mute / unmute an event listener.

There should be an option to mute and unmute a listener.

Here is an example where you would use it. Perhaps you have listeners set up on various things on a screen and you want to jump to an options page. You have two options. One is use storyboards and switch storyboards to the options page, and the second one is remove all the listeners and do the options page, then put them back after your done.

How about a nice new feature to mute them for a bit while the options page is up, then once that is cleared away, you unmute the listeners and go back to playing?

Is there a better way I don’t know about?

Thanks!
Stu

Storyboard supports overlays and you can do your own.  Draw a full screen background and add a tap and touch handler to it to absorb anything going to the bottom layer.  Then draw your new options scene.  When your done dispose of your options screen and the background (just doing a :removeSelf() will kill the tap and touch listeners for you.
