To get a feature: Google Review Team demands the "Icon-xxxhdpi.png", but this is not supported by Corona

Hi,

to feature our apps Google demands the inclusion of the “Icon-xxxhdpi.png”.

This would be of the size 192x192.

It seems it is not supported by the Coronalabs SDK yet (according to the docs), and it does not help just to put it into the project folder.

Thanks & best,

Andreas

Have you done a feature request for this. I’m pretty sure that it could be voted up and therefore possible action taken. i think all indies would understand the importance of "on the remote chance google/apple wants to give us love, then I/we/They would not like to be hindered by this case example “not able to comply” situation, therefore will see the logic in voting up your request.

Hi ToeKnee,

no, I think a feature request is not needed, it’s just a small fix in their settings to use the xxxhdpi icon, too.

They sometimes just need us to tell them about stuff like this, because they make the great SDK while we then use it and actually stumble over the roadblocks Google, Apple & Amazon set up for us regularly.

Normally the Coronalabs guys fix something like this very fast in a daily build.

Best,

Andreas

Agreed. This is likely 2-3 lines of code. It’s not a big enough deal (on Corona’s end) to justify calling it a request for a new feature, IMHO.

Hi guys,

I bumped this with engineering and we’re going to try and get this support into a daily build a.s.a.p.

Thanks,

Brent

This has been fixed and will be in build 2474.

Yay! That’s good news, and nicely done on the quick turnaround. I’m not in the happy position of having Google feature my app (yet) – it’s still in testing – but it’s good to know that I won’t have to worry about it should that happen.

Thanks @dchan for solving that quickly.

It would be great if you guys update the docs also later. (http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/buildSettings/index.html)

UPDATE: Sorry. My mistake. You guys already updated the daily build docs (http://docs.coronalabs.com/daily/guide/distribution/buildSettings/index.html)
