Torque'd Off Users?

Just saw a little bit ago that TorquePowerd/InstantAction/GarageGames is shutting down. Sad for me because I’ve poked at Torque Game Builder for a few years and still had plans to create some Mac/Win games with it.

They also have (had) an iPhone version called iT2D and many of the games made with that look like they could have been done easily with Corona. I hate to see game tools companies go out of business, but there may be some new faces here soon because of it.

let’s hope they opensource it. that’s a good tool but too expensive for indies! i think the toolchain is great. (prob best one i’ve tried…IDE+Behaviours+TorqueScript) i just never got chance to use it.

30-day trials are no good for learning really

Thanks for the comments, Jay. It’s been a pretty shocking turn of events for all of us, but we are forging forward and trying to get buyers lined up to keep the community and engines alive. It is hard having your friends packing up their desks and heading home on the bus. [import]uid: 7077 topic_id: 3591 reply_id: 11040[/import]
