Touch screen laptop for testing?

Hi all, I’ve been a Corona lurker for a while, and am finally taking the plunge and learning lua and the SDK.
I’m also in the market for a new laptop. Has anyone used Corona with the newer touch screen laptops? My assumption is that a touch is registered as a mouse click, and so it could be very useful for more realistically testing apps in progress on coronas virtual device. Seems like it could emulate a little more realistically in terms of UI testing without sending the program over to an actual iPhone for in depth testing.

Any thoughts? Is it worth it, or am I better off putting the price difference into performance specs?

Personally, I would get a computer that’s going to be powerful enough to last you for a few years.  Make sure it has plenty of memory for apps like Photoshop or Illustrator if you’re doing your own art.  Corona doesn’t chew up that much in the way of resources, but other things you might use  like an IDE, Xcode and the visual tools might.   I don’t know that a touch screen is going to help you that much.  I would rather put the money into an iPad or an Android device if you want to go that route.
