Transparent Cells For Table View

Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched through the forums but couldn’t find an answer.

I’m trying to make a table view with transparent cells so that the background scene behind the table view shows through (and the cell text contents will be coloured to nicely contrast with the background), but whatever I do the cell background always appears to be white and full width, I’ve tried setting the row colour on the cells but to no avail. Setting the background colour just sets the rectangle this is visible if the view is dragged too far up or down, and I can set that to be transparent.

I can add content fine in the onRowRender event but what I want is to be able to see through to the image behind the tableView.

Is this possible, am I missing something simple, can anyone help?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards

Jon…

D’oh - sorted it.

I wasn’t actually passing in the rowColor field correctly in insertRow.  I just needed to pass in a table of two colours and set the alpha component to 0 - sorted.

Sorry for disturbing anyone
