Trouble Building for HTML5

** UPDATE: Back again in 2015.2610; See updated post at bottom of page **

Hi.  I recently started poking around with the HTML 5 build option again and I’m getting a bug during the build process.

First, I get a pop-up with this message:  “Your subscription restricts HTML 5 builds to Trial Mode…”

Second, when I click OK, I eventually get a build error like this:

ERROR: An error occurred during build. The server returned the following message:

A device build error occurred on the server.

BuildID: 543748232365a

Error: Template not found.

Build Number: 2014.2459

Platform: web

Platform Version: 1.0

Template Type: basic

The thing is, my License is currently “Enterprise” on the website and Pro in the simulator.  i.e. When I post to the forums, my badge says “Enterprise”, but when I run the simulator, it says “Pro Subscriber”.

Please note, I’m running the Windows Simulator version 2014.2459.

If an admin is reading this, can you please check my account settings to see if my license is goofed up?

If anyone else has any tips or tricks please let me know too.

Thanks!

Hi again. I got part of this resolved.

I decided to de-authorize my computer, fully un-install, re-install, and finally reauthorize my computer.

This fixed the mismatch between my forums badge (Enterprise) and the simulator.

However, I’m still getting the dreaded “Build Error #5”.  It seems the simulator cannot find some file or files that it needs.

Is anyone else out there able to build using HTML 5 as a target?

Please note: I have also updated to the latest build: 2014.2460, and I’m trying to build the ‘physics demo’ from the initial HTML 5 Beta.

Cheers,

Ed

Hey guys.  This is back again in: 2015.2610

Everything is Ok ERROR: An error occurred during build. The server returned the following message: --- A device build error occurred on the server. BuildID: 552cb350b701f Error: Template not found. Build Number: 2015.2610 Platform: web Platform Version: 1.0 Template Type: basic ---

I’ll file another bug if needed, but this is pretty straightforward to reproduce.

I’ve submitted a new bug: 40228

I just looked here if it is possible to export to html5 with corona… and I’ve found this thread. Can you please let me know where I can find more information about it which is actual?

Thank you!

@dmach,

I think this features is currently disabled.  The HTML5 build option no longer appears in my Windows Simulator Build list.

Thx for the info!

HTML5 builds are on hold while we work on completing Windows and Mac OS-X builds.
