"Try to break my app" testing group

Hey all,

I’m looking to start up a sort of beta testing group - a last line of defense for all our apps. I’m wondering if anyone is interested?

To be clear - this isn’t really intended for early stages of development, or just “what do you think of this?”, but more along the lines of “try to break my app so I know what the problems are” kind of group. If there is enough interest, perhaps the venerable Carlos would even give us a forum for app-specific testing?

If you want to participate, leave a response, along with what devices you are willing to test on. We’ll start passing around UUIDs once the dust settles.

hey I would be interested in this! I’ve started strategizing about how I will beta test my game. I personally have an iPhone 3Gs so I’ve not yet seen the Retina graphics I’ve made (ie. I made @2x versions of all my graphics but I haven’t tested on an iPhone 4 yet.)

I will make a forum, but I prefer not to password protected because then someone here at ansca will have to manage the rights and I would prefer a UUID volunteer/manager that can hosts the UUIDs out of google docs or somewhere that can be more manageable. UUID’s are valuable and not something to give out readily.

Interested in the testing group. Have a Droid X, ipod touch gen3, and ipad.

Sweet I’m glad folks want to do this!

Thank you Carlos, very good suggestion. We can probably host a spreadsheet on Crawlspace’s docs account, as long as no one objects.
So if you’re serious about testing, email me at adam[at]crawlspacegames[dot]com and I’ll invite when the doc is up. From there we can all put in our own UUIDs. Any other thoughts?
