.ttf custom fonts show black outline on Kindle Fire, ok on iOS & Android

The custom fonts are working fine on iOS, Android and Fire.

I tested with Harrowprint.ttf and MarkerFelt-Thin.ttf and MarkerFelt-Wide.tff.
MarkerFelt is already on iOS devices, but not on Android.

All three fonts are displayed on all devices I tested with, iPad, Galaxy Tab and Kindle Fire.

But there is one difference:

All three fonts on the Kindle Fire show a small black outline, font color is white.
The Kindle Fire compiled APK did work on the Galaxy tab and didn’t show the outline.
On iOS there’s no outline, too.

I did not install the tools to get a screenshot on the Fire, so here’s a very bad picture shot with PhotoBooth (alright I’m ashamed).

Have you seen this before?

You can test this if you compile this little test project featuring the Harrowprint.ttf for Kindle Fire:

Or just grab the .APK file and install it on your Kindle Fire and on your Android device for comparison:

Hi, tested this again with daily build 775:

The problem still persists, the alpha transparency fixes for the display objects (which I’m very thankful for!) don’t solve this problem.

Will post this now to the bug database.

Best,
Andreas
