Tutorial and beginner help?

Hi,

I’m starting to learn to use MTE and I’m looking for some tutorials. I read the doc and I saw the example projects which are great but it’s not exactly a step by step way to learn.

Anybody knows where I can find good tutorial on MTE?

Also, is it possible to search for a topic on the Million Tile Engine only and not on all forums? I can’t find a way to do it.

Hello jerars,

We’re pretty (by which I mean totally) light on tutorials at the moment. All of my time has gone into adding features and troubleshooting bugs as they come up. I have no ETA on when I’ll have some tutorials available, but I will be writing some up before the v1.0 release, at the latest. It’s definitely a part of the product that needs some love!

As for searching specific subforums, that is something I’ve wondered about myself. I’ve passed the question on to Danny in the Corona staff. 

In the meantime, feel free to ask any questions you might have!

I am currently learning both Corona SDK and MTE simultaneously but I have a lot of prior experience in software engineering.

I plan to release what I have, including well documented code and documentation, as soon as I feel it is complete enough.

I don’t know if Dyson or someone else will have proper tutorials by then but hopefully my stuff will help some.
