Tutorial: Defense Game in 200 Lines!

Hello everybody!

This is my first ever attempt at a tutorial, so i apologise in advance for the poor grammar and explanations, but we all have to start somewhere…

This tutorial will show you some basic code blocks for collision, movement, health, score and wave systems. The enemies will gradually get faster and more will spawn the further you make it. When you die there is a simple restart screen to start the fun again…

It can be found here on our new website. I would recommend watching both videos at the beginning, just so you know what the tutorial will provide you with, as well as showing what you could achieve if you took the code, added your own images and weapons, and tried to make it into a full iOS game. You can just download the project from the provided links if you don’t fancy reading through my horrendous explanations

Let me know what you think!
Any feedback on how to improve/ideas for the next tutorial would be great!

** EDIT: heres the latest two tutorials as well  **
Tutorial: Space Shooter in 240 lines!
Tutorial: Making a Slot Machine!
Thanks,

This was really good. I got a feel for a few new things!

It made perfect sense to me, and I was able to go through it and know exactly what each piece was doing. I spent about 35 minutes with it which for me was more than enough time to get the hang of everything.

Sweet!

thanks for sharing !

These are wonderful tutorials. Thank you so much for taking the time to create them. I’m still working through them and the code explanations are extremely helpful as I’m still learning Corona. [import]uid: 78891 topic_id: 24762 reply_id: 101675[/import]
