Two Game Centers, One OpenFeint

I have a paid-for and a free version of my game Tiltopolis. OpenFeint is nice and friendly and allows me to use the same leaderboards and achievements in both versions.

I read in a post that adding Game Center integration via OpenFeint was as easy as creating the entries in iTunes Connect and copying the OpenFeint leaderboards and achievements across, using the same IDs.

I did that for the paid version, but when creating the same entries in iTC for the free version it complains that the IDs I’m using are already taken.

The problem is that I can’t set up Game Center integration for the free version without making those entries. Would OpenFeint still submit to the original Game Center leaderboards and achievements or are the IDs tied to the app?

I really don’t want to have to create a new set of OpenFeint entries for the free app. Can OpenFeint cross-submit scores etc?

D’oh!

Ok, got round this by recreating the whole set of leaderboards and achievements, but with a minor change to the IDs (I added 1111 to the start of each ID) and creating a new OFGameCenter.plist using the new IDs.

This means that OpenFeint will have one set for both versions of the game but Game Center will have unique lists. Annoying, but this was the only thing I could think of, at 4am.
