Two quick questions about Retina

I have a few quick questions about Retina graphcis:

1- How important is it to support non-retina devices? My app relies on small text that would appear very blurry on a non retina device. Plus making the images again would be a pain. My app will be free so it’s not like people will pay and not be able to play

2- Is there a way to tell if a device is retina or not? I think I could make a work around but I’d need to be able to tell if it was a retina screen.

  1. The primary risk of not supporting pre-retina devices is bad reviews which can tank your visibility in the store. If your app is free…maybe you don’t care about that so much. (Far more likely to get a bad review based on the app performance of the older platform, I’d think)
