Is there a plan to include an official “ui” package in Corona SDK?
I see there is a ui.lua in the community section, and there are also several different ui.lua files included with the sample code.
I just want basic controls- buttons, etc… how are people doing this?

The documentation is pretty bad when it comes to create buttons and multitouch.

@gammabeam - in your case (a button that remains pressed while touching down on it), the standard button example in the “ButtonEvents” sample code should do what you want.
Note: we realize there was a problem for people who STARTED with Game Edition, and did not already have all the interface samples we historically shipped with the base Corona SDK.
