I am trying to deauthorize and quit corona on my computer, but every time I click the button in preferences I am prompted to login again. The login prompt prevents me from quitting corona, and typing my password in reauthorizes the simulator. Furthermore, clicking “cancel” seems to cancel the entire deauthorization process.
Also, I’ve discovered that no matter what password I put in the login window, it accepts the password and keeps me logged in.
Hi @aaron2,
I just de-authorized your computer(s) in our records. Can you please try again to de-authorize on your side?
Also, are you on Windows or Mac?
Thanks,
Brent
Hi Brent,
I opened Corona back up and I was still signed on. However, I was able to deauthorize and quit this time around.
Unfortunately, upon logging back in, I was confronted with the same problem.
I am using Mac OS 10.10.2
Hi Aaron,
Are you familiar with using the OS X Terminal for various system commands? If so, I have a process that you can step through which should clear out any internal records that may be clogging up the system.
Brent
Hi i need also help. I can’t deauthorize, i have the same problem
Hi Rocco,
I just de-authorized all computers registered with your account.
Thanks,
Brent
thx
Hi Brent,
I also can’t seem to make the de-authorization work like aaron2. I have also made a support request but if something can be done from terminal, I would like to know.
Hi @bgmadclown, @aaron,
If nothing else has worked, and you’ve exhausted other options, then you can attempt the following Terminal commands which should clear any past history of Corona out of your system so you can start fresh. WARNING : as with anything that involves file manipulation via the Terminal, you should have at least a basic understanding of what you’re doing, and I can’t be responsible if you follow these steps incorrectly and mess up something else on the system.
-
Quit the Corona Simulator.
-
Run these commands in this specific order from the Terminal:
defaults delete com.coronalabs.Corona_Simulator defaults delete defaults delete com.anscamobile.Corona_Simulator rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.coronalabs.* ~/Library/Preferences/com.anscamobile.* rm /Library/Preferences/com.coronalabs.* /Library/Preferences/com.anscamobile.*
-
Restart your computer.
-
Open the Simulator. If you are not asked to login, then something failed in the above commands (i.e. you didn’t type something exactly right).
Hope this helps,
Brent
That worked like a charm Brent, thank you.
By the way,
defaults delete defaults delete com.anscamobile.Corona\_Simulator
should be
defaults delete com.anscamobile.Corona\_Simulator
