Unable to deauthorize on Mac/PC after I changed emails linked to our paid account.

Hello

I purchased Corona 9 weeks ago and I installed it on a Mac at home (all working), I installed it on a PC at work to show the boss (OK) then I installed it on a Mac at work to continue working. I only use 1 PC at a time.

I logged into http://developer.anscamobile.com/and changed my developer email from simon@fearby.com to NERICTApplicationDevelopment@det.nsw.edu.au to be in line with subscriptions at work.

This is where the problems started. Now I cannot not login to any Mac or PC that I used before.

I am unable to Deauthorize from the account listed as simon@fearby.com in Corona (Mac or PC).

I logged a Support request here ( http://developer.anscamobile.com/node/6257/submission/2959 ) but no reply??? the form is not very intuitive? Is there a ansca support email I can use to contact?

Q1) How can I deauthorize the Corona installations that are linked to the old email address? When I click Dauthorize and quit I cannot change the email from the old one to the new one?

Please help. [import]uid: 89946 topic_id: 17902 reply_id: 317902[/import]

fyi

I am using Corona build 2011.688.

To try and Deauthorize Corona I click Corona Simulator then Preferences. The email of “simon@fearby.com” cannot be changed (that was my old email), I click “Deauthorize and Quit” but nothing happens (maybe because it is my old email address? Maybe you can’t de-authorize anymore because you changed your email. Did you try to de-authorize with NERICTApplicationDevelopment@det.nsw.edu.au, since that’s your new Email address?

If that doesn’t work, Ansca probably has to reset your authorizations.

You wil have to de-authorize from both computers before chaning ur email id. I guess the easy solution is to change your email id back to original on the account page. Then de-authorize ur computers. Come back and change email id and then re-authorize on computers… You should be al set…
Hope this helps. [import]uid: 84539 topic_id: 17902 reply_id: 68379[/import]

I’m not sure if either of those things should be phrased as questions :wink:

I will request someone looks at your email/support ticket today.

Hi NEITAFE,

I checked your submission #2959 (which is support case #9133), and it was responded by our support team on Oct 31, 2011. Please check your incoming emails, also check your “Junk” inbox, since sometimes emails go straight there. I will ask one of the support team members to re-send it to you anyway after I finish this post.

Both rmbsoft and bejoy are correct:

  • our support team helps with this kind of issues by deauthorizing your whole account, which was done on Oct 31;
  • you needed to deauthorize and quit Corona before you changed your email address;
  • setting back to the old email, deauthorize and quit Corona, and then change email would have worked as well.

Please follow the direction given in the email sent by our support team. If you continue to have the same problem, please do a “reply” to their email and they will be able to do a follow up.

FYI, the reply from support was sent (and will be re-sent) to: NERICTApplicationDevelopment@det.nsw.edu.au

Peach, thank you, as usual!

Hello

I have Deauthorized and quit (like in the instructions emailed) but Corona still is linked to simon@fearby.com.

How can I manually deactivate on a mac *Snow Leopard"? [import]uid: 89946 topic_id: 17902 reply_id: 68729[/import]

Just found the library/preferences files ad deleted them (all good). [import]uid: 89946 topic_id: 17902 reply_id: 68730[/import]
