Unable to run application on bosses android phone.

So, the app that I’m currently working on has worked fine on every phone it has been installed on, except for, of course, my bosses. The application starts running, sits on a black screen for a few seconds, then dies. The error log has the following message in it when they app is closing:
[text]
channel ‘40eeeb98 com.sps.AppName/com.ansca.corona.CoronaActivity (server)’ ~ consumer closed input channel or an error occurred. events=0x8
[/text]
[text]
channel ‘40eeeb98 com.sps.AppName/com.ansca.corona.CoronaActivity (server)’ ~ Channel is unrecoverable broken and will be disposed!
[/text]

All other android phones that the application has been installed on have ran the app just fine. Any ideas what could be causing this? [import]uid: 143007 topic_id: 33596 reply_id: 333596[/import]

I’ve never seen those errors happen on any of our Android test devices either.
A quick Internet search of those error messages did not prove helpful.

Can you tell me what the make and model of the Android device is please?
Also, what Android OS version it is running?
Also, do any of the sample apps included with the Corona SDK cause this error on that device too?

One more thing… does this error happen when building your app with the previous release version of the Corona SDK, build #894?

I’ll try these things, and check his phone the next I have a chance, he’s not in very frequently, and when he is, he’s busy on business calls. [import]uid: 143007 topic_id: 33596 reply_id: 133685[/import]

His phone is a Droid 3, with Android 2.3.4 installed on it. [import]uid: 143007 topic_id: 33596 reply_id: 133889[/import]

Thanks for the info.

Would you mind writing up a bug report on this please? You can do so by clicking the “Report a Bug” link at the top of this web page. Just write up the information that you posted here as well as a link to the forum thread… and a small sample project that reproduces this issue on a Droid 3. This way it gets into our queue. I am having this exact issue on the Droid Razr Maxx (Android 4.1.2). Has there been any progress on this?

Thanks!

Andy
