Unity ads on Kindle for Amazon?

Can Unity ads be shown on a Kindle, so a game can get added to the Amazon AppStore using Unity Ads?

Unity ads rely on the Google Play store for monetization, so, while you can implement Unity ads on Kindles, you won’t be able to make any money from them.

Here’s an article direct from Unity that addresses the topic:

https://support.unity3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000117543-What-platforms-does-Unity-Ads-support-

Here’s the relevant bit:

"Unity Ads does not currently support the following:

  • Web platforms (e.g. WebPlayer, WebGL)
  • Windows Phone
  • Amazon App Store, Amazon Marketplace for downloadable Android games (Note that you can implement Unity Ads in Android games downloaded through Amazon, but all of our campaigns currently advertise apps for the Google Play store. Therefore, ad impressions will not generate revenue unless the user also has access to the Google Play store.)"

Thanks for the info!

One more thing:

Is it okay to use admob ads and unity ads on an Amazon device? (Even without making any money from them)?

I mean the ads will show links to Google Play games… is this allowed on a Kindle device for example?

That I could not tell you. I haven’t actually run Unity on Amazon- I just looked into it and then abandoned the idea when I realized that there was no potential for actual monetization, plus it would be a potentially frustrating experience for my Amazon customers.

Vungle works on Amazon and it is what I use.

I use StartApp on Amazon. @d.mach you can but there is a big Corona error that pops up about bloat.

Thanks for the info!

Is this Vungle 5.0 or 6.0?
